United Nations UN75 honoring the UN 75 th anniversary throughout 2020, is the biggest-ever global conversation on the role of global cooperation. Starting in January 2020, ...dialogues will be held around the world and across borders, sectors and generations. The Peacemaker Corps Foundation through Peace in The Streets Film Festival (PSGFF) is partnering with UN75 to ensure that the stories and visions of our global connection of young film makers initiate dedicated youth dialogues on the theme for the 75 th year, “Shaping our Future Together - The Future We Want, the UN We Need.” The Peacemaker Corps Foundation has mentored a number of Kenyan youth who have won multiple awards in the film festival. In 2018 PCFK worked with secondary school youths and helped them win an award through a filmed poem called "The Plea" in the UN global peace in the streets film festival in New York sensitizing on violence against young girls and boys. The film was recorded and submitted using GPSFF computer application.

Karibu Kanaan Music and Art Festival for Peace

The 1st Annual Karibu Kanaan Music and Art Festival (KKAMAFP) took place on October 2nd 2021 in Kisumu, Kenya. Karibu Kanaan - or Welcome to Kanaan, is a peace festival invented by The Peacemaker Corps Foundation Kenya and +Peace Coalition that intends to create awareness about the value of peace ... in the context of some of the most pressing local conflict issues. This year's festival sort to find ways of working with youth to understand what is at stake if Kenya was to return to electoral violence, what Kenyans are bound to lose, how they can pull together (Harambee) and what they can do to stop electoral violence in order to imagine how a peaceful and prosperous country would look like with unity (Umoja) and humanity (Ujamaa/Ubuntu) or kannaan/canaan - the promised land. Karibu Kanaan is therefore apolitical and does not subscribe to any factional political interests. Rather, the festival focuses on peacebuilding and national cohesion.

Peace in Our Cities

Is galvanizing a movement of people, mayors & city governments to halve & transform urban violence by 2030. The peace in our cities campaign seeks to create platforms for progress towards achieving sustainable development goal 16, with an initial focus on sdg16.1 (to significantly reduce all forms ... of violence & related death rates everywhere). To launch the campaign, we built a coalition of early adopters – including cities, sub-national authorities & targeted thematic partners – inviting them to sign the peace in our cities sdg16 action pledge & launch a 12-month action committee.

Glocal Volunteerism Program

The Peacemaker Corps Foundation strives to empower youth in volunteerism in order to unlock their potential through mutual partnerships across the globe that are driven by pan African philosophies of humanity (Utu), unity (Umoja), and collective responsibility (Harambee) to strike a balance between technology, humanity, local ecologies and human progress.

ECD

We connect volunteers to local peacebuilding initiatives and institutions including NGOs, CSO's in the area.

Social Services

We give our volunteers access to those in need of special attention, particularly, orphans and Vulnerable children.
